The Public Finance Group has successfully closed several public arena transactions including the original financing of America West Arena, which involved credit enhancement in the form of a direct-pay letter of credit from Fuji Bank; the refinancing of America West Arena, which was secured by a municipal bond insurance policy from Ambac Assurance Corporation; and the refinancing of Bank One Ballpark, which required the negotiation of a very complex intercreditor arrangement with several private and public lenders.
