About Glenn Light

Mr. Light is an associate in the Gaming practice group of the firm’s Las Vegas Office. He focuses his practice on casinos, restricted gaming locations, horse racing, sports betting, internet gaming, sweepstakes and contests. He is licensed in Nevada and New York and has represented clients with licensing and regulatory matters before the Nevada State Gaming Control Board and Nevada Gaming Commission. He has also participated in gaming-related matters in New York and other jurisdictions including Mississippi, Iowa, Colorado, Ontario and numerous tribal jurisdictions.

  • Licensing of casinos in Nevada 
  • Licensing of manufacturers and distributors of gaming devices and systems in Nevada, New York and Ontario 
  • Licensing of operators of interactive gaming systems in Nevada, including representing the first licensee to launch its real-money poker website in Nevada
  • Licensing of interactive gaming service providers, manufacturers of interactive gaming systems and distributors of interactive gaming systems in Nevada 
  • Licensing of payment processing service providers, patron identification service providers and geo-location service providers in Nevada, including representing the first licensee to be granted these licenses by the Nevada Gaming Commission 
  • Licensing of race books in Nevada 
  • Local counsel for the senior lenders to Herbst Gaming, Inc. in relation to their conversion of debt into equity, during bankruptcy, of what is now known as Affinity Gaming, LLC

Other Distinctions

Mr. Light was recognized by the Clark County Bar Association and the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada during the ninth annual Pro Bono Awards Luncheon held on December 11, 2009. He appeared on the 2009 Attorney Honor Roll for his 100 hours of Pro Bono service.

In addition, Mr. Light was the recipient of the Certificate of Commendation from Senator Harry Reid and the recipient of Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, both in December of 2009.

He is listed in the 2012 edition of Mountain States Rising Stars, in the category of Gaming.
