Jontz Sworn in as Vice President of the State Bar of New Mexico

Dennis E. Jontz was recently sworn in by the New Mexico Supreme Court as the vice president of the State Bar of New Mexico. Jontz is a partner in the Albuquerque office of Lewis and Roca Jontz Dawe LLP, a Southwest regional law firm. He practices in the areas of business, real estate, intellectual property, and government contract law, in addition to civil and commercial litigation.

Mr. Jontz earned a B.A., M.B.A. and J.D. from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has practiced law since 1973 as well as served as judge advocate in the United States Air Force, Active and Reserve, 1974-98. An active member of the business and legal community, he is a member of Economic Forum as well as serves on the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau, Oso Grande Technologies, and Explora Science Center & Children’s Museum. Jontz has been a member of the Albuquerque Rotary Club since 1984.

The State Bar of New Mexico is a professional membership organization for attorneys licensed to practice law in the state of New Mexico. Established in 1886, the State Bar currently has more than 7,500 members. The State Bar is governed by a Board of Bar Commissioners who are elected from throughout the state.
