Lewis and Roca is pleased to announce that Dan Waite has been recognized as the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. This award, which was presented by the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, was received by Waite at a luncheon on December 11, 2009.
The firm, which challenged itself to take one Pro Bono matter a week for the entire year, also received the Lied Award for most Pro Bono hours for a law firm and the Lied Award for most cases for a law firm. In addition, 13 other Lewis and Roca attorneys (West Allen, Joice Bass, John Bragonje, Darren Brenner, Jonathan Fountain, Jill Garcia, Jacqueline Gilbert, Glenn Light, Michael Lynch, Ann Marie McLoughlin, Karl Rutledge, Quinton Singleton and Franchesca Van Buren) were recognized for their Pro Bono efforts. One of the firm’s administrative assistants, Penny Ranan, received the Pro Bono Support Award of the Year, the highest award given to a non-attorney, in recognition of her Pro Bono assistance.
Waite is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. His practice focuses primarily on business litigation, with an emphasis on real estate, mechanic’s lien and fiduciary litigation.
