Lewis and Roca attorneys Sean Garrison and Emily Bayton will present "Intellectual Property and Licensing: What You Need to Know About Patents, Trademarks and Licensing Agreements," the sixth of seven workshops in the Entrepreneurs Initiative series.
This workshop will review the basics of patents and trademarks. We will discuss what intellectual property may be patented or registered as a mark, and how it is done.
This workshop will also address the important issue of licensing agreements. Whether you license intellectual property from others or license out your own intellectual property, you will learn to mitigate the risk of having your intellectual property misappropriated or inadvertently infringing upon your licensor's rights.
