The Entrepreneurs Initiative - Getting Started

September 24, 2010
The University of Arizona
James E. Rogers College of Law

Lewis and Roca attorney Mark Patton and Beach Fleischman CPA David Lopez-Monroy will present "Getting Started," the first of seven workshops in the Entrepreneurs Initiative series.

Our first workshop addresses the most fundamental and critical of business issues: limiting you personal liability for business debts and obtaining the most advantageous tax results. Choosing the best form of entity and tax structure for your business is not obvious. This choice carries with it significant legal implications and affects your tax liability. This workshop will review those legal and tax implications and help you consider this choice given you business' unique characteristics.

If you have already formed your business, learn how best to operate your business to avoid personal liability. This workshop will offer practical suggestions for conducting your day-to-day business operations to maximize liability protection for your personal assets.
