2009 Land Use Update

June 5, 2009
Orange Tree Golf Resort
10601 N. 56th Street
Scottsdale, AZ

Join Lewis and Roca attorney and seminar co-chair Frank Bangs as the State Bar of Arizona hosts the 2009 Land Use Update.

The recent appellate decision relating to the CityNorth development in Phoenix will have significant implications for how governments use economic development incentives; the morning sessions will consider practical and policy implications. During lunch, Chris Duerksen of the Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute will share his insights on an evolving trend toward sustainable development codes. In the afternoon, the focus on new planning trends will continue with a discussion of how Arizona planners are embracing form-based codes. Add in our traditional sessions on ethics, recent judicial and legislative activity, and "Stump the Experts" to round out the program.

This seminar is of interest to planners, lawyers, developers, land owners, commercial brokers and government employees and officials involved in or concerned about land use planning in Arizona.

As part of this seminar Frank Bangs will be moderating a discussion on "Ethics for Planners and Lawyers" from 1:15 - 2:15 p.m.
