Lewis and Roca attorneys Bruce Samuels and Sivan Korn will present "Keeping Secrets: What You Need to Know About Protecting Your Trade Secrets and the Essentials of Non-Competes and Non-Disclosure Agreements," the fifth of seven workshops in the Entrepreneurs Initiative series.
Information is most businesses' most valuable asset and practically every business has trade secrets. They can be as simple as a client list, or as complex as a software code or a laboratory notebook. The law protects those secrets from use and disclosure by other people, but only as long as they are, in fact, secret.
How can you protect your secrets when your contractors, suppliers, or employees must have access to them? Learn how to use simple techniques in your day-to-day business operation to ensure that your secrets are protected, and avoid common mistakes that may lead to loss of valuable information. This workshop will also teach the basics of effective non-compete provisions and non-disclosure agreements.
