About Marvin Ruth
Mr. Ruth is a partner with the firm’s Bankruptcy/Creditors' Rights and Litigation Practice Groups. He primarily represents both secured and unsecured creditors, as well as trustee and committees, in all aspects of Chapter 11 business bankruptcy cases. Mr. Ruth also works with lenders, lessors, and other entities outside of bankruptcy in all aspects of debtor/creditor relationships, particularly in commercial lawsuits and collections matters, as well as in seeking prejudgment remedies such as writs of replevin.
Mr. Ruth has conducted discovery and motion practice regarding relief from the automatic stay, motions relating to use of cash collateral, approval of disclosure statements and confirmation of plans of reorganization. He has also prosecuted and defended adversary proceedings in bankruptcy including preference and fraudulent transfer claims, and has litigated proofs of claim and objections thereto.
