Lewis and Roca attorney Matthew Sweger and Robert Maxfield of Oracle Capital Advisors will present "Show Me the Money: Financing Your Business and Planning for the Exit Option," the second of seven workshops in the Entrepreneurs Initiative series.
Obtaining sufficient financing is necessary for developing or growing your business. In our second workshop, Robert Maxfield (Oracle Capital Advisors) and Matthew Sweger (Lewis and Roca) will discuss the ins and outs of obtaining financing for your business including the different sources and common types of financing.
We will also discuss why pre-planning for an exit is critical. It is never too early to plan for your ultimate liquidity event. Operating your business with the end goal in mind can significantly increase the value of your business at your ultimate liquidity event. You will learn practical suggestions for how to position your business to maximize its value.
And, if things don’t work out, planning for the possibility of a business divorce from the beginning can eliminate legal risks and save business and personal costs. We will discuss these risks and provide an overview of legal tools designed to mitigate them, like buy-sell agreements and other forms of exit options.
