About Ross Crown

Mr. Crown is a partner with the firm’s Government Contract Law and Litigation Practice Groups.

Mr. Crown’s government contract work includes evaluating rights under government contracts, bid protests, contract disputes, contractor debarments, and SBA size determinations. These services extend to every phase of the procurement process from the issuance of solicitations through award, contract administration, and termination or completion.

Mr. Crown’s commercial litigation practice consists of trial and appellate litigation involving contract disputes, secured transactions, insurance coverage/bad faith, fraud and negligent misrepresentation, professional liability, real estate development, and construction/architectural/engineering claims.

Representative Cases/Matters

  • Pursued protest in Court of Federal Claims on behalf of educational services contractor seeking reversal of award of $48 million in Army contracts for latent ambiguities in solicitation.
  • Represented major aerospace contractor in claim before the ASBCA against the Department of the Army arising from defective specifications for laser weapons system.
  • Represented housing contractor in claim before the ASBCA against the Department of the Navy arising from undisclosed site conditions and constructive acceleration in renovation of military family housing.
  • Defended contractor at Los Alamos National Laboratory in whistleblower case brought before the Department of Energy.
  • Prosecuted before the General Accounting Office protest of decision excluding client from competitive range for award of contract under the U.S. Army Residential Communities Initiatives.
  • Defended New Mexico municipality in action brought in federal district court to enforce multi-million dollar land development agreement.
  • Represented financial institution in lower court and appellate proceedings in case establishing doctrine in New Mexico that release of surety not consented to by co-sureties effects a pro rata, rather than a complete release of co-sureties.
