Attorneys of Lewis and Roca Are Recipients of Prestigious Robert J. Hooker Award

Lewis and Roca LLP is proud to announce that Randall S. Papetti, Adele G. Ponce, Jon Weiss and Pamela Ramsey have been awarded the Robert J. Hooker Award from the Arizona Public Defender Association.

Papetti is a partner with the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. He is an experienced trial lawyer, having successfully tried cases ranging from first-degree murder to complex lease disputes. His practice focuses on complex real estate and business litigation.

Ponce is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. Prior to joining Lewis and Roca, she was a legal intern at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, where she worked in Chamber I.

Weiss is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. He also leads the firm’s Professional Liability and Discipline Practice Group. He has taken dozens of cases to trial and has substantial experience in defending legal malpractice claims and representing clients in lawsuits involving the Uniform Commercial Code, commercial lease and contract disputes, claims of director and officer liability and a variety of other commercial litigation matters.

Ramsey is a paralegal in the firm’s Securities Litigation, Commercial Disputes and Class Action Defense practice groups.

The Robert J. Hooker Award is in recognition and appreciation for the exceptional commitment of “time, effort, expertise and resources to a partnership with the Mohave County Public Defender’s Office and the provision of high quality representation to an indigent client” in the State of Arizona v. John DeBarge. The award was presented at the 6th Annual APDA Statewide Conference in Tempe, Arizona.
