About Matt Bingham
Mr. Bingham is an associate in the firm’s Environmental & Natural Resources and Energy, Telecommunications & Utilities practice groups. His practice includes assisting clients with air and water permitting, compliance and enforcement issues as well as other regulatory proceedings. Specifically, Mr. Bingham has experience in representing clients in Superfund and WQARF (Arizona's version of Superfund) actions, rulemaking proceedings by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, permitting and enforcement work within the jurisdiction of the Maricopa County Air Quality Department, and various proceedings before the Arizona Corporation Commission, including applications for Certificates of Convenience and Necessity and Certificates of Environmental Compatibility. As editor of the Lewis and Roca Renewable Energy Blog, Mr. Bingham also stays up to date on the latest legal and political developments related to climate change and renewable energy and regularly attends seminars and other educational events on these topics.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Mr. Bingham was a civil engineer with the Phoenix office of a national transportation engineering and technology firm. Prior to that position, Mr. Bingham worked in the land development group of another national engineering firm.
While in law school, Mr. Bingham was a notes editor for the Columbia Business Law Review.
