Lewis and Roca is pleased to announce that the firm has received multiple awards for its continued pro bono efforts in the state of Nevada. Both Washoe Legal Services and the Second Judicial District Court (Washoe County) have recognized the firm for its work in this category.
At the Washoe Legal Services annual pro bono awards luncheon on May 13, 2009, Lewis and Roca received multiple awards, which included the “Law Firm Pro Bono Recipient” award presented by Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice James W. Hardesty. While presenting the award, Justice Hardesty commented, “today may seem like it’s Lewis and Roca day, and for good reason.” Also recognized for his efforts was Reno based Lewis and Roca attorney Jason Morris, who was one of only three individuals recognized for their pro bono work in 2008.
The Second Judicial District Court (Washoe County) also recognized Lewis and Roca with an award for serving the court and community with distinction. This award, which was presented by former Lewis and Roca partner Judge Bridget Robb Peck, recognized the firm once again for its continued pro bono work.
