Lewis and Roca Leads LACSN Pro Bono Case Count

August 20, 2009

Lewis and Roca is pleased to announce that the firm leads the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s pro bono case count with 27 cases in 2009.

This information, which includes cases through June 25, 2009, was presented in the August 2009 issue of Communiqué. In Maria L. Parra Sandoval’s article titled “The Pro Bono Race!” she wrote “Lewis and Roca is in the lead with 27 cases-an astonishing number! That’s about one new case per week!”

Lewis and Roca has a rich history of pro bono case work and in the past year has received multiple awards recognizing the firm’s efforts.

At the Washoe Legal Services annual pro bono awards luncheon on May 13, 2009, Lewis and Roca received multiple awards, which included the “Law Firm Pro Bono Recipient” award. The Second Judicial District Court (Washoe County) also recognized Lewis and Roca in 2009 with an award for serving the court and community with distinction.
